Letter #10 4/23-4/30/2012

Hi Dal,

How was your week?  I was so excited to hear that Matt Snyder was baptized.  Now it is the ward's opportunity to fellowship him and keep him included.  I often repent after reading your letters because I have been guilty of not extending my hand of fellowship far enough.  I have a goal to do better. We will pray for you new investigators as well as those in our own wards.

Yes, I did see the cute pic of "mama Iniguez."  And, yes, I laughed out loud that she looked like Hoodwinked grandma :)!  I hope she feels the spirit and chooses to be baptized.  Your hard work will always pay off.  But, just like prayers, sometimes it's in ways we don't expect.

Beau and I just go back from Utah for my second and his 3rd time in a month.  We had a great time watching Jordan graduate, Norah be blessed and Aunt Lynn speak at BYU Women's conference.  Not to mention, seeing both grandparents, Angie and Cade, Chels and fam, and lots of other family.  We are so blessed to have such a close family who actually likes to be together. We had the usual long into the night talks and watched the 2-year olds run, jump and jabber.  G-ma Kay and G-pa Jim and I went to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving point.  They had a beautiful display of not only tulips but a bronze sculpture display of the Savior's life.  I have included  some pics of the weekend. G-ma and g-pa Tall were so wonderful to have yet another family event at their house, feeding around 45 people.  They all are doing great.

We are down to a month of school for Beau.  Wow! Time is flying.  You have already been gone over 2 months.  Crazy.  Beau is for sure going to Alaska.  He is singing in an Octet for Skyview graduation!  He's the bass singing "You Raise Me Up."

Well, as soon as I get some bananas ripe enough, I will make you some bread and send it.  It takes 2-3 days to get to your mission home.  How long does it take for you to get packages from the mission home?  Do you need anything else?  Please ask you mission president about the mother's day/father's day switcheroo.  Are you eating healthy?  I'm sure you are getting enough exercise since you are on a bike.  How is the bike and your bum?  Calloused?

Keep up the hard work, son.  We love you and pray for you every day.  You are building up the very Kingdom that Adam will confer to Christ at the advent of the Millennium.  It will be a great day.

Love,

Mom

Hi guys-

OH YEAH!!!!

Tomorrow I am going to Nauvoo!!!. We are going to the temple in the morning and carthage later! We are going with the funniest old member of our ward. When you guys come out here, if you do, we will stay at his house. You just have to witness him. I am so excited to see all the sights and stuff. I will probably buy some stuff too. Ill take plenty of pictures. We are also going to Davenport this week for a meeting. I want to go to Chicago so bad! It's only a couple hours away.

We are eating healthy too. We have lots of leftovers.
This week was fairly rough, but It had its great moments too. We are still in the finding stage, which means we constantly have to add to a pool of potential investigators, pray for them, and hope for miracles. I can feel we are on the brink of having several quickly progressing investigators. Within the next couple weeks I think the work will really pick up. We got five new investigators last week. We will be having second lessons with them this coming week. We are teaching an Indian woman...like from India not the res. She is so awesome, but she thought we were just there to have a little bible study. Eventually when I asked her to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized, she realized our purpose in talking with her, and that she'd better read the Book of Mormon to know if it is true rather than read it like a novel.

It is so great to hear about that crazy weekend! I just love our family. Everyone loves to see eachother and support one another. Is Aunt Lynns talk on the internet?

Beau!!! ha. Please film him singing You Raise Me Up. That is awesome.

It takes about two days to get here from the mission office. My bum...My bum is powerful haha. We ride bikes hard because we never plan with enough time. Sorry I don't have a ton to discuss. The weather here it so misty right now. I now understand why they don't have to irrigate here.

I love you guys!
