July 16th, 2012

Hi Dallin!
It's so great to hear your testimony. It's very comforting to me to know that you are grounded with a solid family background and a firm testimony.  It will serve you well throughout everything you do.
I read Moroni 7 and l love it as well.  It's amazing how I can open up the Book of Mormon, almost at any spot, and feel the love that Heavenly Father has for me.  The message is so clear and the passion that each of those prophets had  in trying to convince their brothers, as well as us, of this message, makes me want to live better and worthy of meeting them someday.  I'm very grateful that we have the truth to hold on to in the difficult times in our lives.  It sounds like you are teaching some great people who are listening to you and the spirit.  Are you and your comp doing ok?  Do you think you will be transferred again at the 6 week mark?  Is there anything you need?
We've had a great weekend.  Ang, Bill and Cade are here. We went to the Zoo and golfing.  Cade is a riot.  He and Chico have played out in the back yard with Cade yelling at the donkeys "come here, donkeys!" And, the donkeys obeyed!  He loves everything boy.  He loves grandpa's tractor and tool trailer- he said "amazing" when he when inside :)  so cute!  It's cabin week, so we will be leaving on Wednesday.
Dad was called to be an Elder's Quorum teacher. I think he's excited about it. They've issued me a calling, but haven't sustained me yet, so- I'll let you know next week.  Our ward is really growing with new move in's.  It's nice because they are younger families with lots of youth-mostly primary age.  Our missionaries are really cute girls and I know they teach a lot of lessons.  We have had a few investigators at church.
Well, I look forward to your letter.  I hope you are staying cool enough.
We love you!
Mom

Hey! such cool pictures!

I forgot to mention last week that I will be here in Iowa City at least for another six weeks with Elder Davey. Since I finished four weeks of his training I will be "busting" him as well. Which means the transfer after being trained. I would request your prayers for the next six weeks. It will be a great challenge. I will learn alot.

This week we got to have a really cool thing happen in our stake. They put on this event where 16-18 year old youth come from all over the stake to get set apart as missionaries for the weekend. They study and serve with us. We got a couple of kids from Muscatine Iowa. They worked hard, and I think they learned alot. Mainly I think they saw that a mission can be fun, and that it is such a privilege and not a sacrifice. We knocked some doors, looked for former investigators, had great dinner appointments, street contacted, and saw recent converts. Apparently this event causes way more preists to end up on missions than stakes that don't do it. I wish they had something like that for our stake.

Jason and Pheobe came to church again, and that was awesome. We had a great lesson with Agusta where she understood, and actually began to accept the pre mortal life. Its amazing how the Lord sharpens our teaching skills if we are diligent just enough to powerfully teach what someone needs. The learning and understanding often precedes the investigators understanding of a concept.

So as of transfers Dave is a district leader in the Boone zone I believe. STUD.
That guy has changed so much for the better.

Love you guys,
Elder Tall
